Hi Indiana Girl!
We are working on the Cabbage plant type and it will be listed as Cabbage/Green. This change should be in effect by tomorrow. Just FYI.
Thanks,
Laura

Hi all,
I relisted some seed and added some new ones as well. Worked flawlessly. As with anything new, we should expect some bugs here and there. I love the look and feel on the listing end, I cannot wait to see the full feel on the requesting end!!!!

Thanks SSE!!

Chris

Default I'm confused

OK, I admit that I procrastinate but now I need to get those seeds listed and I am more than a little confused.

On what appears to be the main page, it has a button that says, Click here to Browse Yearbook's history but it seems to always just list the results for 2010. I also seem to get the same results from the seed search and the plant types.

The interface confuses me as well, the plant types and seed search tabs seem to be overlapping in functionality. Especially since you have another seed search link at the top.

My seeds text link does indeed seem to list my seeds. It even lists previous years. Is anyone else able to search for seeds from years past that are not there own?

One other pet peeve. It would have been nice to have my yearbook comments pre-populated so that I could just change details. For anyone like me that tended to be wordy, this is sort of a pain to retype all of it. I guess no more than doing it the old fashion way.

Brad, it sounds like you are the man. I think that what you are doing is great but I do have suggestions if you are interested.

Default confused, update

It seems that I can indeed browse. Once again, I didn't notice that I had to click on the detail button to see that it was in a previous year. Confused.

The seed search still seems to only return 2010 but maybe someone can enlighten me.

Still no change, after two weeks of trying to access my listings... I give up. It still says I am not set up as a listed member.

I applied for password last night. Nothing yet and I've got about 70 new listings to add.

Got the password and immediately went to work on the project at 3:10 PM. 9 hours later, there's one more tomato entry than there should be and no way to edit it out. Only thing I can change is HAS to SOLD OUT inasmuch as I never had any to begin with!

Glenn - not sure if you are still reading this thread, but I can help a little. If you click on the button "Browse Yearbook's history" you can change the view for all previous year's entries. Manually click on the list to the left - bean, broccoli, etc - (I can't get the search to work). When you pull up the one you want - for example Bean pole - the field to the right will show one or two random entries (have no idea why). Scroll down below them to the alphabet and click on the letter of your choice. Suddenly you will have all the entries between a number of pages (pages you can click through by the numbers above the alphabet).

As for re-writing, you can re-list a seed with the old info from the "my seeds" page. Unfortunately, when I went back to re-edit it, everything disappeared. I then looked for my old entries in the history (as above), copy and pasted them into word and then went back to my seeds and re-copied/pasted from word. Cumbersome, but it worked.

This system will be absolutely amazing when it works. Right now it has issues.

More "issues" today. Need to enter more listings. It won't let me access my account without setting up a new password. Didn't see anything that said that that had to be done with each visit.

Edited: Now working again so that apparently was a temporary hiccup.

I have a problem with seed descriptions. There seems to be a limit to how much you can enter. Is there are way to overcome this? Some seeds just need more words to describe them.

Hi everyone...
If you ever have any specific yearbook questions, please email them directly to membership@seedsavers.org... there is less likelihood that we'll miss anything because of the vast number of forum posts. Also, if you are a new member and want to list for the first time you will need to contact us to first get your listing code... you can give us a call or send an email to the membership email address... thank you all for being so patient... it has definitely been a learning experience...
THANKS!!!!
