Looking at putting out a few of these next spring. Does anyone have experience with these varieties?

I usually don't grow bi-colors as I find them to be bland and overly sweet. I have read quite a bit of praise for this one bi-color so I grew it 4 years ago. It grew into a large Ind. but was a very skimpy producer of bland overly sweet tomatoes. They also were not heavily bi-color on the inside. If you like bland, fruity, overly sweet tomatoes you should grow them.
I did like the Hege German. It was also a large Ind. Fairly productive, mostly large beefsteak shaped tomatoes but also round shaped as well. Really good taste for a pink. You also might try McKinnley or Rose instead of the Virginia Sweets. Please understand that I am not trying to discourage you from growing any variety, but you did ask for experience. Unless you are growing Bi-colors for photography subjects. |

Hege German Pink is a good one and you won't be disappointed. Another one in the same class is Toedebusch Pink. Ami
