Would like to test

Being a "rookie" gardener I read a lot. I understand the things that the soil needs are represented by letters (potash etc.) but can't seem to find any way of knowing what is in my soil NOW. We presently grow in a hoop house using big pots. The best I can do with my present tester is check PH and moisture. We try to set up every pot to accomidate the veggie that it will host. If I could test for the other important stuff it would make me feel a lot better. Thanks.
