See, for me, it won't seed back into the garden. I get zebrinas in cracks in the side walk and driveway, in the middle of the monster lantana, never where it's easy to dig up, and never where I want it to grow.

Default Thanks for the information

Thanks to everyone for their input. I live in the Tampa Florida area or Zone 9. I have planted Pentas, Lantanas and Bee Balms on the border of my garden. The Bee Balms have yet to flower. All were planted as transplants. I noticed the honey bees seem to like the weeds that flower in my yard. Go figure. I have seen what appears to be a honey bee in my watermelon plants. This busy bee seems to always be by himself and I have other bees that are green in color in the watermelons. I do have cowpeas planted in my main garden. I have read that the Firebush Shrub is also excellent for bees but I have yet to locate one in my area. Thanks again and I will try some of your suggestions.

I was told recently by a beekeeper to leave some milkweed in the corner of my yard because bees love it. I find it hard to get enthusiastic about milkweed, but I try.

I have 3 milkweed plants growing in my yard. I have seen a lot of Monarch butterflies on them but no bees. Milkweed is a great plant for Monarch butterflies. I found and planted 2 Firebush shrubs yesterday. I will see how they attract bees.

I just had a random thought while I was considering about using hops as a ground cover in a partially shady corner of my yard. Last time I grew them was maybe 12 years ago, and I can't remember paying attention to the flowers too much. Do pollinators like them?
